About Keith Ng
HE is an entrepreneur and founder of Swoozh Solutions LLP (Swoozh.com), a registered company in Singapore. Swoozh offers IT consulting & solutions, and as well aiming to be a recognised authority in innovative IT applications. His main expertise and interest lies in exploiting the power of IT to drive business opportunities and creating values, and he has been involved in such developments since 1999. He first started out as a freelancer at the age of 17 and worked with a major pharmaceutical firm to produce a CRM system which focused on complex MLM algorithms. Currently, Swoozh is endorsed by MDA to develop a business proposal under the micro-funding scheme.
Among his most memorable stints in Johnson and Johnson, DFS Venture and Standard Chartered Bank earlier on, he was involved in developing a predictions market (Stock Exchange) system and Asterisk IVR system coupled with Voice Biometrics system,both as a project manager, and streamlining of a global financial work flow involving more than USD$100k monthly. In particular, Keith’s mighty team was awarded SGD$12,000 for the voice biometrics project by Standard Chartered in recognition of the top 3 projects in the year. He enjoys working with a multinational team so he believes diversity will promote synergy and creativity, essential in the modern world. Keith is currently in his final term pursuing Bachelor in Business Management and Bachelor of Science in Singapore Management University under a Scholarship, and majors in Finance and Information System Management. Keith believes in a bottoms up approach in learning - dirty your hands so you can learn.
As a hobbyist designer and programmer, he is pretty bad for his standards. He has supported Arsenal FC in the EPL since 1990 after being mesmerized by the charms of Ian Wright and David Seaman, and plays soccer regularly every weekend. Other times, his favorite hangout includes Jazz @ Southbridge, and lately St James, Bellini for good Jazz music. He is also an amateur salsa dancer who stops learning in intermediate and sometimes visit Union Square to shake it out. He will be leaving to Belgium for his fifth year and final term in September 08 for 6 months - where he will seek to expand his business horizon and life perspective. He will leave Swoozh in good hands to Damon, his trusted buddy and business partner.
He believes in returning to the society through voluntary work, and actively supports any cause related to helping different beneficiaries. He is undergoing counseling training in SMU under university counselor Timothy Hsi’s Peer Helper program, and serves as a Peer Helper in school - a “para counselor” to fellow students. Other times, he participates in voluntary activities with other organizations to visit Old Folk’s home, interact with mentally challenged individuals, etc.
